Last Sunday, after Iggy, someone

Last Sunday, after Iggy, someone tipped me off discretely to the existance of this fount of roleplaying community gossip. That’s unfair, because the Countess’ journal is worth reading for more than just the voyeuristic thrill. But it does provide a lot of background about the nice people that I sometimes hang out with.

And because LiveJournal encourages interlinking, I found more nice Journals by people I know through that one, including, among others, Ijon‘s, Hattie‘s, Adigi‘s and Eli Ben Menachem‘s (never met him, but visited his site). A really impressive Journal belongs to Renee Perelmutter, a linguist who went to the trouble of setting up her own domain and site. I know her brother and her husband, but it seems to me she’s much more interesting than both of them…

Scintilla is a text-editing component

Scintilla is a text-editing component which allows code-completion and code-folding, and is the basis for SciTE, a rudimentary programmer’s text-editor with some very nice advanced features, which runs on both Windows and Linux (GTK+). Scintilla is also used by Activestate’s Komodo IDE.

Site cleaning: I am a

Site cleaning:

I am a lazy bastard.
Added some links to pages which are on my site but not linked to from anywhere, moved my sidebar to a php include so I can use it from the weblog, and moved some archived pages (from back when I was using blogger) to the correct place, instead of the ugly broken template pages I had there before.

Blogger lets you re-publish the archives with any template you want, so last time I visited their site, I changed the template and re-published. But I hadn’t moved them into the proper place (where they can be visited from this drop-down on the right) until now. Did that with a command-line Perl script. I am so a geek…

This entry makes no sense to anyone, does it? But I’m publishing it just to see the changes to the template in action.
