British Superhero comedy starting September 18th – via CBR’s Lying In The Gutters.
Back when I tried to gather my thoughts on Amber, what I was thinking of was this essay on Logrusless Chaos. Without the Logrus as a simple Pattern equivalent, the Courts of Chaos are suddenly much scarier, because there’s actually something stopping them from destroying Amber beyond being wusses.
The latest production video diary for the Watchmen movie includes some interesting images, including my first glimpse of Dan Dreiberg, Nite-Owl’s secret identity. OK, we already know he’s less chubby, but look at that sweet seventies square haircut. It fits in well with the other images we’ve seen of the set, including the way the cars look: less retro-future like in the comic (with its electric cars), more straight retro with a 70s-early 80s feel.
Q: Of course not. Although it does bring up the question of what happens when one of your super beings is at a bar mitzvah and a monster attacks.
A: Obviously our super beings’ availability for parties is contingent on the absence of monster attacks at the time. Unless the monsters are attacking Tempe. In which case, party on, super beings.
Q: Seriously?
A: Seriously. Really, screw Tempe. Those people are on their own.
