פתאום, קצת לפני יום כיפור וטיפה אחרי ראש השנה, שמתי לב שאני כמעט לא כותב כאן. שמתי לב שגם כשאני כבר כותב בבלוג הזה, אני יוצא קצת נרגן.
אז הנה החלטה לשנה הבאה - אני אנסה לכתוב רק דברים מפרגנים.
אז ככה, שבוע שעבר ראיתי, באחת בלילה, את הסרט המקסים של שחר סגל על הדולפינים מאילת שהוטסו לים השחור. זה פשוט סרט שנגע בי והדולפין “למון” עדיין נשאר חקוק אצלי בלב.
זה עלול להשמע ציני אבל מאז פליפר לא חשבתי על דולפין כל כך הרבה. בכלל מאז שנולדה לי ילדה חדשה אני מוצא את עצמי ער בשעות מאוד לא סטנדרטיות ורואה סרטי תעודה בשידורים החוזרים של ערוץ 8.
סרט אחר שאני רוצה לפרגן לו הוא “פיצה באושוויץ”. גם אותו ראיתי בערוץ 8 ומאז יום השואה אני רוצה לכתוב עליו. אני מרגיש חייב בגילוי נאות שהכרתי פעם את הבמאי שלו, משה צימרמן. הוא היה מורה שלי באוניברסיטה, במשך סמסטר אחד בשנת 1993. הוא לימד קורס שנקרא “קונוונציה ריאליסטית” ואף פעם לא הבנתי מה הוא באמת רוצה ממני. מצד שני, פיצה באושוויץ הוא לטעמי סרט השואה הכי טוב שנעשה בארץ עד היום. יש סרטים כמו “שואה” ההיסטורי של לנצמן או “לילה וערפל” המסוגנן של אלן רנה, שהם אולי נחשבים יותר אבל הם לא מכאן.
לכאורה זה סרט שואה על ניצול שחוזר לטיול שורשים עם ילדיו, אך למעשה זה סרט על ילד ש”נתקע” לפני יותר משישים שנה איפשהו בסביבות גיל שש, בגלל נסיבות שלא תלויות בו. זה גם סרט מצחיק על אבא שרוב הזמן מתנהג כמו הילד של הבת שלו. הוא כה טוב בעיני כי זו כמעט קומדיה שחורה על התפוררות המשפחה בשואה. אולי זה מה שמאפשר לי להתחבר אליו יותר מסרטי שואה אחרים כמו “מרטין” או “בגלל המלחמה ההיא”.
הסרט הזה עדיין גורם לי לחשוב עליו מדי פעם, גם אחרי לא מעט חודשים. אולי בגלל הבדיחות על אושוויץ. אולי מפני שהגיבור שלו אף פעם לא בוכה, גם כשצריך.

This video is a viral-advertisement for The Sleeveface book - Be The Vinyl. It seems that recently it is very popular for people who are not DJs or complete audiophiles to go crate digging, and I am all for that, most of all for the only reason that the fuss around vinyl might just help keep it alive, as we, as djs failed it, DVS killed the vinyl star.

Preface
I’ve owned both mixers and have used each over the past two years. I currently own the DJM 800 but keep in mind, that doesn’t necessarily mean I think that the 800 is a better mixer - just read further to find out what I mean by that. Also, I am using both mixers as if I got them right out of the box - no upgraded faders nor am I testing their flexibility with effects boxes or MIDI control.

London’s Indigo2 was a very charged place this last weekend, some of the best scratch djs have been competing there for the DMC Best DJ awards, the finals are after months of fighting off djs untill they got to a core of 6 djs, only one of them to say he is the best dj in the world.
DJ Switch(UK) who beat DJ Nelson(FR) with some hardcore skills on the tts, won himself $10,000 of cash from Ortofon, the DMC Gold Disc Award and a RANE TTM57 mixer.

Partying can be a dangerous thing, especially when you over do stuff you shouldn’t be it legal or not, you should always remember your limits.
Last weekend a 25 year old Scottish man, Paul Burns collapsed and died in his hotel room in Ibiza after O.Ding on alchohol and drugs. the Glasgow Herald reported Paul Burns was the third fatality that week, but the ninth on the long run count of 2008.

I’ve recently read in a forum thread that a lot of people are looking for Dj related movies or movies where the main subject of them is DJing, not only dj documentaries but also full-feature long movies that surround the issue of being a dj. So here is my list, if you have other movies which you think should go on this list, contact me.
This list is not sorted by any parameter, yet the first movie is IMHO the best movie. I haven’t watched them all, but it seems now ...
