I’m suffering from a sensation of formication today. It started when I came back from Lunch and it’s made it’s way from my leg (just a bit below the knee) to my cheek.
Dictionary.com knows what “formication” is, while Merriam-Webster is blissfully ignorant.
I first came across the word in a Feng Shui supplement (Elevator to the Netherworld), which just goes to show you that roleplaying is still educational.

I saw Fellowship of the
I saw Fellowship of the Ring this Friday (it rocked). So here are some film links: Peter Jackson writes for NY times about the filming, reviews from Entertainment Weekly, Newsweek and Screendaily (all links from Ghost in the Machine). Also from there, a link to a petition for Peter Jackson to film Star Wars Episode 3 and a list of all the changes between the film and the book.
Last Sunday, after Iggy, someone
Last Sunday, after Iggy, someone tipped me off discretely to the existance of this fount of roleplaying community gossip. That’s unfair, because the Countess’ journal is worth reading for more than just the voyeuristic thrill. But it does provide a lot of background about the nice people that I sometimes hang out with.
And because LiveJournal encourages interlinking, I found more nice Journals by people I know through that one, including, among others, Ijon‘s, Hattie‘s, Adigi‘s and Eli Ben Menachem‘s (never met him, but visited his site). A really impressive Journal belongs to Renee Perelmutter, a linguist who went to the trouble of setting up her own domain and site. I know her brother and her husband, but it seems to me she’s much more interesting than both of them…
Did I make a note that John Tynes has a weblog? I should.
