Captain Cursor calls his D&D

Captain Cursor calls his D&D campaign style “Spellpunk“:

“My campaign has defiantly been spellpunk. Necromancers with barely anything on but the leather bondage gear, pierced orcs leading revolutions against the racist humans, and mages that seek to become posthuman in their distopian city. But I think that it’s just a general trend of the genre.”

Word shortcuts (from YNET, in Hebrew). Also, yesterday I found a helpful link to this page on some blog or other (forgot which, but it was still in my History): a good reference for keyboard shortcuts for lots of Microsoft products.

Setting hidden Mozilla preferences [via diveintomark]. Even better than the article are the two comprehensive references linked to in a helpful user comment, one on  customizing mozilla and one on testing it. A web of knowledge in action.

My girlfriend asked my who

My girlfriend asked my who wrote the Princess and the Pea. Google gave me an answer in less time than it took to think of the English name for that fairy tale (in Hebrew it’s “the Princess on the Lentil”). The good link I found (above) comes from an impressive Hans Christian Andersen site, and hacking at the URL further showed that the site is part of a memorial web site for Gilead Har’El.

It’s a beautiful gesture, putting a useful and interesting public resource online as a memorial.
