Game Over

Last night (in the first hour of April the 15th, 2004), my campaign (Secret Origins) ended. It was a bit unexpected for me and for the players too, I think. However, I had put the loaded gun on the table, so to speak, when the PCs first learned that one of them (together with an NPC), could end the world. And I had signaled we were entering the last stretch a session or two ago, and last session chaos broke out and NPCs started dying (or making threatening comebacks).

But, you know, I guess I didn’t expect them to hit the "abort universe" (or "restart", whatever) button, at least not for a couple of sessions. Maybe I’m forgetting how my players are…

Ironically, earlier yesterday I had read Anders Sandberg’s campaign notes where he talks about the GM being willing to destroy the world. Well, we did it.

The question now is, what next? We started brainstorming our next campaign last night. This is the most exhilarating and most frightening step, I think. What shall we wear, oh what shall we where?
